Sometimes when we talk with people who are interested in volunteering at Life.Church Online, we notice something. They tell us that they love our mission, that they’re passionate about sharing God’s love, and that they have a heart to serve…but we can sense that there’s an unanswered question in the back of their minds:
This week, I’m celebrating my four-year anniversary of joining the Life.Church Online staff. What an amazing, wild, unforgettable journey it’s been! It’s a true honor to serve, grow, and lead in a church that’s laser-focused on leading people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. I thank God every day that I get to do this.
Since Mary first joined our Life.Church Online community two years ago, we’ve seen God radically transform her life. It’s been amazing to witness the healing, restoration, and freedom she’s experienced as she’s trusted and followed Him!
My week revolves around my calendar. My schedule is so jam-packed with meetings, appointments, and to-dos that if something’s not in my calendar, chances are I won’t be there!

If you know me at all, you know that I love to travel. It’s almost like an addiction. Each stage—from the dreaming to the planning to the going—brings its own unique high that I just can’t quit chasing. Even when I’m 100 years old, I’m sure I’ll be wheeling my oxygen tank down the jetway and asking the flight attendant for a glass of water so I can take my fiber pills. (Hopefully we’ll just be able to teleport places by then, right?)
When I was a kid, I used to go with my best friend Trevor to an annual overnight lock-in at a local science museum. We always had such a blast learning about electricity, gravity, and earthquakes—but the best part was that at the end of the day, we got to sleep wherever we wanted in the museum.
Our 68th weekly Life.Church Online experience launched this past Wednesday at 10:00 pm CDT and wow—God moved in a huge way! Let me share some of the amazing things that happened at the debut of this new service:
Last year, over 6 million people around the world attended Church Online. Six million! While the magnitude of that number is hard for me to wrap my brain around, I’m also struck by how many more people there are in the world today—people who are lost, hurting, and in need of Jesus.
